LGBTQ+ Inclusivity Training

Queering the Gap

We conduct LGBTQ+ Inclusivity trainings. We offer one-time trainings, company/workplace assessments, multiple trainings and follow-ups, and one-on-one inclusivity consulting with specific staff members . Please see below for more information. Every single training, follow-up, consulting, and assessment are independently and uniquely designed and catered to your workplace needs.  


Definitions 

First within our trainings, we typically introduce definitions around gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation to ensure we are all on the same page and all have the same definitions to start conversations.


Facilitate Activities

Then, in our trainings we facilitate conversations among co-workers/ colleagues/friends around LGBTQ+ individuals and their workspaces. 


Assessments

If included in the clients package, a before and after assessment can be done in the workplace to determine how LGBTQ+ inclusive the environment is, then we conduct a training or reoccurring trainings, then follow up assessments. For the original assessment (before trainings) we typically give recommendations and report back if there is room for improvement in regard to LGBTQ+ inclusivity, especially for transgender and nonbinary individuals. Typically part of these assessments include examining policies and practices. This all depends on the clients needs.
